New job at NP

I started work at Ngee Ann Poly this week. It's a nice environment, with warm colleauges and understanding superiors. It seems to be a nice place to work in. :-)

My new office, a comfortable and cosy corner:

Though it's a nice corner, I heard we'll be moving office very soon, in about 4 to 6 months time, and we are moving into a smaller office, which means the cubicles will be smaller too.

As I am new to the job, I am having induction every day. Every task is new to me. Every moment I'm learning.

But I am very certain I am happier working here. At least for the moment.

However, I am not happy about the travelling time. During my poly days, I don't remember I took so long to travel to NP. It's completely out of my expectation for the long travelling time. Long and I really mean LLLLLOOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGG!!! Argh... Actually I realised the long travelling time is due to the long waiting time and the traffic jam. Sigh... SBS and SMRT got to do something about the long waiting time lah... Actually travelling on the road during peak hours is always at disadvantage... Nowadays SOOOOOOOOOOOO many people own cars... How I wish there is an MRT station nearby NP...

Importance of family

Stomach Flu, a DEADLY(该死的) virus which strike my family so suddenly and unknowingly. This is really a DEADLY(该死的) virus, which can be passed to so many people very rapidly.

This is the chain of the virus passing:
Somebody at TPY KFC with stomach flu -> Dawn, KenKen, (Myself and Chu Chu) -> My PaPa, Mi and Jie

Health is so important!!! Due to this chain of virus passing, I had a terrible week. But... I'm also enlightened!!! Family is so important too!!!

Monday:
I went for work in the morning, but went to see doctor at late morning, got the DEADLY(该死的) stomach flu virus, so got MC. Terrible!!! MC on my first day of work!!! Hopefully my superiors and colleagues will not have an impression that I am a 'sickly' person.
Chu Chu vomited, diarrhae and cried through the day. He went to see the doctor at night, due to his continuous vomiting, not able to sustain food, doctor had decided to insert the medicine through his anus. Poor Chu Chu... Cried alot more...

Tuesday:
I still vomit, though diarrhae had stopped. Hence went to see doctor again, got MC again. Double terrible!!! MC on the second day of work!!! Sigh!!!
Chu Chu stopped vomiting, still having diarrhae. He continued to cried through the day, but he slept alot more than Monday.

Wednesday:
Finally I'm fit to go back to 'effectively' start my work. But my mi had diarrhae through the night. Started vomiting in the evening. My papa had diarrhae since afternoon. My Jie also feel bloated and nauseous. (She's pregnant, though these are signs of pregnant, but it's definitely not symptoms of her pregnancy) How??? Nobody to take care of Chu Chu tomorrow!!!

Thursday:
Still got to go to work. My papa is OK. He went to work in the morning. My mi still feel nauseous. My Jie had seen doctor, given 2 days MC, most probably because she's pregnant. Finally... My baby sister got to take leave in order to take care of my mi and Chu Chu.

It's so good to have family. Without them, I will be at a lost, not knowing what to do!!! I treasure them alot alot more now

I LOVE MY FAMILY!!!

Dawn's Birthday at KFC - 'Hard-to-come-by' chance

It is Dawn's birthday on 20 Aug. We had our dinner at Toa Payoh KFC to celebrate her birthday.

All of us are enjoying the meal:

Dawn's birthday cake, bought by my father-in-law:

Happy Birthday to you.
Happy Birthday to you.
Happy Birthday to Qing Rui.
Happy Birthday to you.

Chu Chu is waiting curiously for the cake:

Finally, Chu Chu got to eat the cake:

Happy Birthday, Dawn!

I really hope Dawn and my mother-in-law had enjoyed themselves, as it is a 'Hard-to-come-by' chance for them to have fast food.

Big Bump

On Sunday, Chu Chu got one HUGE bump on his forehead... worried and scared... heart pain... as usual, kena scolding from all who loves him... today, he got another bump on his forehead again... heart pain again... but no more scolding... because don't know who to scold... thinking positively... the second bump actually balance his first blue black HUGE bump on his forehead... :-P

Sentosa Picnic Trip

Chu Chu's first time to the beach, initially he's scared of the sand, simply refused to place his feet on the golden sand:

But child being child, eventually, he enjoyed himself, happy Chu Chu:

Happy family:

Happy parents:

Happy sisters:

It's indeed a happy family outing!!!
